Saturday Night Takeaway hosts Ant and Dec have teased there could be a twist for their 'Get Out of Me Ear' segment.

The duo, who appeared opposite Alex Jones and Ronan Keating on The One Show, have hosted the variety show since 2002, and previewed the upcoming series.

They revealed that this year's 'Get Out of Me Ear' participants would include Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman, describing her as "amazing" before explaining the twist on the format.

"She was amazing. This one was a bit different because we took her out of a home environment, and we put her in a massive Swedish homeware store," teased Dec. "So she's in there talking to other customers and members of staff, and she’s cringing.

"We thought, with Claudia, that she might be hard to embarrass," added Ant. "She did go for it all but there was a few times where we got her so close and she was like, 'I'm not doing that'. It was fun and she was game for a laugh."

'Get Out of Me Ear' involves a celebrity wearing a concealed earpiece, before they have to follow instructions set by Ant and Dec. In the same interview, the pair confirmed that Joe Wicks would also take part in the challenge this year.

Ahead of the latest series, which premieres this Saturday (February 25), the pair announced that ITV was planning to release a behind-the-scenes documentary of the show, with the aim being to capture "the inner workings, unique team ethos and daring creative spirit that attempts to make it alright on the night".

In a statement, Ant said of the documentary: "We are really excited to lift the curtain a little on Saturday Night Takeaway. We'll have footage of all the ups and downs, the last-minute dramas that come with making a weekly live entertainment show. Believe me, there are lots of dramas that happen behind the scenes."

Dec echoed the sentiments of his co-host, adding: "We love watching fly-on-the-wall shows like Drive to Survive which goes behind the scenes of F1 so thought it could be really fun to allow the cameras to see how we make Saturday Night Takeaway. I'd love to see Behind The Screens on more entertainment shows."

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway returns on February 25, airing on Saturday nights from 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
