TV’s Scarlett Moffatt has denied any truth to the ‘conspiracy theory’ that she’s dating Ant McPartlin.

The Gogglebox star, 28, has been at the centre of months of rumours that she and recently convicted Saturday Night Takeaway presenter Ant, 42, are dating – despite her being happily in a relationship with current boyfriend Lee Wilkinson.

The I’m A Celeb winner told the Sun that she tries not to think too much about the false stories: ‘Well, it wasn’t true so, honestly, I always think, “Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”,’ she mused.

‘My family and friends knew, so no, it didn’t really enter my head.’

Speaking about how bonkers the ‘conspiracy theory’ is, she carried on making a joke out of it: ‘I do love a conspiracy theory myself, but I’m more of an alien, mermaid sort of conspiracy girl.’

Despite winning the 2016 series of I’m A Celeb and becoming mates with Ant, it was a snap she uploaded in her bedroom that appeared to show a group photo of her and the Geordie in question, along with Dec, 42, on her besides table.

But Scarlett downplayed it by saying: ‘It’s a picture of me as Mary Poppins. It even beats me being in the jungle – like the highlight of my working life.’

She also jetted off to Florida earlier this year to do some presenting on the grand final of Saturday Night Takeaway in Ant’s absence : ‘To do the Saturday Night Takeaway finale in Disney World, honestly, was my dream. So every morning when I wake up and see that photo, I’m like, “I’m living my dream”.’

‘Ant was always in the back of our minds because we all love him, as the viewers do,’ she admitted. ‘He’s just such an amazing soul, an amazing person.’

Ant was convicted for drink driving back in April, as he was handed a 20-month driving ban and an £86,000 fine.
