Scots Still Game star Greg Hemphill has been spotted in a trailer for Ryan Reynold's new Deadpool film.

The Glasgow born actor, who is the co-creator of Scotland's beloved comedies Still Game and Chewin the Fat, can be seen in the opening sequence of the new advert for Deadpool and Wolverine.

The trailer, which was released today, shows the 54-year-old Scottish comedian playing a barman speaking to Hugh Jackman's Wolverine as he works up the courage to tell him to ‘Get the f*** out of my bar’.

Hemphill’s character tells Wolverine: “I told you, you’re not welcome here, you’re not welcome anywhere. Now get the f*** out of my bar.”

The actor has also just released a new comedy sitcom called Dinosaur which airs on BBC3 on Tuesday nights, The Herald reports.

As for his role in the new Hollywood film, it's not yet known whether his part is a significant one yet as he only features in the first ten seconds of the trailer.

The first Deadpool film was released in 2016 and broke the record for the highest grossing R-Rated film earning £783m world wide before being over taken by 2019’s Joker starring Joaquim Phoenix which amassed over £1b.

Deadpool 2 went on to make £785m, meaning Deadpool and Wolverine is predicted to do well at the box office.

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds teased the new trailer last night before its release as the star will be entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time with Jackman in the R-Rated blockbuster.

Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to arrive in theatres on July 26, 2024.

Shawn Levy is the film director, with Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy credited as co-writers.
