We all know that robots are getting smarter by the day – and now they're even after our creative jobs. Well, kind of.

BOTNIK Studios has decided to both terrify and amuse us all by training predictive keyboards on old Scrubs scripts and then having them write "the exact average episode" of the hit comedy.

And the result is pretty damn hilarious.

The fantasy episode would see the Janitor (Neil Flynn) threatening people "using his beaker of hospital juice" and J.D. (Zach Braff) uttering lines like: "My lady is the eel I bought from the narcoleptic."

And then there's brilliant moment where JD says: "I knew I could always count on life support to keep a patient from getting too serious."

The episode, brilliantly bad as it is, has caught the attention of series star Zach Braff too and now he's trying to reunite the cast to give this, er, typical script the reading it deserves.

"I would very much like to do a reading of this," he tweeted of the script, before following it up with a second tweet that tagged all of his former co-stars.

"This bot wrote a Scrubs script, we should honor it with a reading..."

Braff tweeted former co-stars Donald Faison (Chris Turk), John C McGinley (Perry Cox), Sarah Chalke (Elliot Reid) and Judy Reyes (Carla Espinosa), as well as Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence too so the ball is now in their court.

After all, it's common knowledge that the cast are still close friends outside of Sacred Heart hospital, so while no ons has replied yet with their agreement, we're sure it's just a matter of time.

And hey, the fans are already definitely interested in making this happen:

Scrubs ran for nine seasons between 2001 and 2010, and the comedy series focused on the lives of a group of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart training hospital, following JD in particular as he journeyed from a medical intern into a qualified doctor.

It was well known for its voiceovers by Braff, its comedy daydream sequences and, of course, its famous musical episode.

We mean, you don't even need to have seen Scrubs to enjoy this:
