SDCC: Teen Wolf Announces Season Six Will Be The Last

This year’s Teen Wolf panel at San Diego Comic Con announced some pretty big news - the next season will be the last. Yes, that’s right. The show’s sixth season, slated to air on MTV later this autumn, will serve as the series’ finale.

What’s more is that series will end on it’s 100th episode. Show runner Jeff Davis made the announcement at the opening of the shows’ last ever Comic Con panel to fans, explaining that it’s time to wrap up Scott McCall’s (Tyler Posey) story. Watch the it below…

“This has been the biggest movement that we’ve been a part of,” said Tyler Posey, who took this moment to thank fans for their support over the past 6 years. “This isn’t just a show, this is a family. You guys are all a part of it. We love you guys.”

The trailer for the shows’ sixth season was also released. Featuring a recently confirmed Dylan O’Brien who’s fate on the show was left hanging in the air, the trailer teases this season’s villains, the Ghost Riders. While season five series regular Arden Cho won’t be returning as ass-kicking kitsune Kira Yukimura, confirmed returns include recently dead Cody Christian Theo Raeken, Ian Bohen as Peter Hale and J.R. Bourne as Chris Argent. As it’s the last season, could we expect a return on the cards from Colton Haynes, Tyler Hoechlin or Daniel Sharman? We’ll have to wait to find out. Meanwhile, we have this explosive, new trailer to keep us going. The show looks like it’s going to go out with a bang.

Teen Wolf’s 20-episode sixth and final season will air in the autumn on MTV.
