Seal slams Oprah for being 'part of the problem' following Golden Globes speech

Oprah has come under fire yet again after her Golden Globes speech.

The latest post-ceremony criticism to emerge is from Seal.

The Kiss From A Rose singer, 54, berated Oprah, 63, to his 108,000 Instagram followers. He branded her ‘part of the problem for decades’, and pictured her kissing Harvey Weinstein on the cheek.

It comes after Fox News slammed the TV host and called her a hypocrite after her rousing speech at this year’s Golden Globes in response to victims of sexual assault and harassment speaking up and refusing to stay silent any longer.

‘Oh I forgot, that’s right…..you’d heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad.
#SanctimoniousHollywood,’ he captioned the meme.

‘But suddenly they think you are the solution’, the meme ends, sparking a mixture of comments from fans.

Branding Oprah ‘sanctimonious’, Seal was scathing in his attack, implying she stood by and said and did nothing during Weinstein’s reign of terror and intimidation over the past several decades.

People were divided by his opinion, with some supporting his thoughts: ‘Oprah #SheKnewToo’. Another said: ‘Call it like it is!! Love you even more now!! Always speak the truth’

Others slammed the singer for attacking her: ‘Stf up Seal how could Oprah know if they hadn’t come out don’t tell me you know everything about all your friends’. And: ‘Seal’s just happy that his name is in the news’.

Some were quick to point out that the singer’s ex-wife, Heidi Klum, was also good friends with the disgraced film producer, with the pair having been photographed together on numerous occasions.

One user suggested googling Klum and Weinstein to see all the pictures of them together. ‘Seems your wife has been palling around with him a lot more than Oprah has….’ they said.

After this month’s appearance at the Golden Globes, where she received Cecil B. DeMille Award, Oprah’s been strongly backed to run for US President in 2020, with many thinking she could be the one to topple Donald Trump’s stint.
