Seann Walsh has announced that he has become a father for the first time - but fainted while his baby was being born.

The comedian and his dance teacher girlfriend Grace Adderley have announced their new arrival with a video on Instagram, with Walsh admitting that he passed out during the birth.

In a video recorded in the hospital's postnatal ward, Walsh says: "So, Grace has had our baby and I'm sat here in the very relaxing postnatal department and the staff have been really great."

He then goes on to joke that nurses keep congratulating him, pretending that he thinks they are talking about his Chortle Awards win for best stand-up show.

Walsh shared: "I passed out during the birth. Of course I did. The nurse's response? 'Men'. Fair."

The recent I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! contestant, 36, has been dating Adderley, 30, since 2019 and said that she was the reason he had decided to take on ITV1's jungle contest.

Walsh hit headlines during his 2018 stint in Strictly Come Dancing when he was caught kissing married dance partner Katya Jones on his then-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries' birthday.

Humphries then released an open letter detailing his toxic behaviour during their relationship and has since published a memoir, Why Did You Stay?.

During a campfire chat on I'm A Celebrity in November, he said: "Easily the most depressing month of my entire life, Edinburgh after Strictly.

"We get to Edinburgh, right, I think it’s a 200-seater, I’ve never not in Edinburgh sold out the first night.

“It doesn’t even occur to me that it’s not sold out. Just before I’m about to go on, my agent comes in and goes, ‘Just so you know, there’s like 30 people’.

“To get told that when you’re just about to go on, horrific. It was at that point I was like, ‘Oh, oh’. My career was dead, I was over. My agent said, ‘There’s nothing I can do. I’m sorry, I’ve tried. I’ve tried everything'."
