Second image released as police continue hunt for 'flasher' targeting lone women

A second image of a man police want to speak to after a string of indecent exposure incidents in a park has been released.

Officers are relentlessly pursuing a man who indecently exposed himself and performed sexual acts in front of women and girls.

The man in question is believed to be between the ages of 16 and 25-years-old and was wearing a dark hoodie and black balaclava or medical mask at the time of the incidents.

He was later seen wearing a long blue dressing gown.

Officers would like to speak with the man, pictured, who was seen in the area at the time.

Detective Sergeant Paul Buckland, who is leading the investigation, said he is pulling all resources together to catch the repeat offender.

He said: “Ordinarily we'll find some incidences reported like this in singularity, but to have three or four reports within a couple of hours, this is a level of offending that would suggest it may escalate.”

Police received three reports on May 2, of a man exposing himself to a woman in her 30s, a woman in her 40s and a 16-year-old girl between 4.20pm and 7pm.

The incidents happened in the wooded area between St Marys Church and Monks Way and near to Mansbridge bridge.

The force later received a report that a man exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl at Swaythling train station on the same day, at around 6.30pm.

Officers attended and carried out a thorough search, which included specialist support from a dog unit and police helicopter.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We encourage people to continue reporting any information that may help our enquires, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.

“While no-one has reported any injuries as a result of this series, indecent exposure is a serious offence and we are investigating these incidents as a priority.
