Shia LaBeouf has moved his anti-Donald Trump live stream to the UK after it was pulled from its location in New York.

The US actor and activist has set up his ‘#HeWillNotDivideUs’ art installation at Liverpool’s Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, where it will remain for the duration of Trump’s presidency.

LaBeouf and his collaborators claim that it isn’t ‘safe enough’ to carry on with the project in the US after a series of violent incidents took place at the original site.

A statement released by LaBeouf, Luke Turner and Nastja Säde Rönkkö read: “Events have shown that America is simply not safe enough for this artwork to exist.”

“The new location for the work is particularly fitting for Turner, having grown up in the North West of England… we are proud to be continuing the project at FACT, an arts centre at the heart of the community.”

The installation features a camera which runs a continuous live stream, inviting people to repeat the message ‘he will not divide us’ into the lens.

La Beouf was arrested in New York following an altercation with a white supremacist who invaded the project.

New York’s Museum of the Moving Image later removed the stream, with LaBeouf claiming that the venue had ‘abandoned them’.

The installation was then set up at the El Rey Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but was removed after reports of gun shots in the area.

Liverpool’s FACT has now installed a flag promoting the project outside their building.
