We might be some time deer! Herd of hundreds causes bizarre traffic jam on Hungarian road

Now this majestic sight is worth a delay to your travelling time.

Motorists in Hungary were left awestruck after a huge herd of deer crossed a road right in front of them.

The galloping herd may have caused traffic congestion, forcing several cars to stop but no one seemed to mind, as they witnessed one of nature’s wonderful displays.

Although deers are not uncommon in this part of southern Hungary, the herd was thought to be much larger in numbers than those usually spotted.

Although small groups of are often seen on drives in the countryside, the herd crossing the road in southern Hungary’s Baranya county numbered in the hundreds, or possibly up to a thousand

The magnificent animals were spotted thanks to a motorist caught in the jam.

Csaba Gungl’s dashcam captured the scene as the beasts thundered across a field and then jumped a ditch.

He can be heard talking as the herd gallops across the road.

At first there are only a few deer but then the stream of bodies thickens into a stream that seems like it will never end.

A full minute later the last deer eventually passes by.

They eventually disappear into nearby woodland.

The animals in the video are thought to be red deer (Cervus elaphus) which are found across Europe, including Britain.

Video of them swarming across the countryside has gone viral after being posted on social media.

The video has gathered around 400,000 views in just a few days.
