London’s top cop was out on horseback to help police the Chelsea versus Arsenal clash on Saturday.

Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe saddled up to join other officers at Stamford Bridge.

The Met Police Commissioner rode along the streets on the back of police horse Oliver.

A photo of the smiling commissioner in a riot helmet was posted on social media by the Met’s footballing unit ahead of the match.

Sir Bernard is due to retire next month after five years in charge of the Met.

Chelsea said 41,490 fans watched them win 3-1 against rivals Arsenal to extend their lead at the top of the table.
