Sir Tom Jones Cancels Entire Asian Tour Due To 'Serious Illness' In His Immediate Family

Yesterday it was reported that Sir Tom Jones had been forced to cancel a gig in the Philippines over the weekend due to a serious illness in his immediate family, but it has now been announced that the star has called off his entire Asian tour.

Poor Tom.

The former Voice UK judge was left with no choice but to shelve performances in Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi and Osaka with a statement from Tom’s management reading: “Due to a serious illness in his immediate family, Tom Jones has regretfully had to cancel his performances.

"He extends his deepest apologies to both the organisers and the fans, who he is most sad to disappoint. There are no further details at this time.”

A source close to the star’s family added to the Daily Express: “Tom is going through a bad time but wants to keep it as private as he can.”

His management have since denied claims that the 75-year-old’s wife Linda is ill.

On top of his Asian tour, Tom has commitments cross the globe throughout the coming months - including gigs in Norway, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France and England.

As it stands those dates are to go ahead as planned.

Our thoughts are with Tom and his family at this no doubt incredibly tough time.
