Smoke Billows From Six-Story Building on New York's Upper East Side

Firefighters battled a large fire that broke out on the rooftop of a building under construction on New York City’s Upper East Side on Tuesday, May 9.

ABC 7 reported the fire broke out just after 2 pm at East 83rd Street and Park Avenue. The building normally houses Jesuit priests but was vacant at the time due to renovations.
