A 14-year-old suffered a 'devastating' fall at Man City's FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea at Wembley. Onur Yilmaz, his mother says was in a third-tier stand as he walked to use the toilets on Saturday (April 20).

Mum Rachel claims he stopped as Bernardo Silva scored for the Blues in the 84th minute, before he lost his balance and fell over a railing. She says he fell '15 feet' and landed on concrete.

Onur's 19-year-old brother Josh - and nearby fans - found him 'out cold' on the floor, covered in blood, Rachel said. He was given medical attention before being taken to hospital.

Rachel was at home in Astley, Wigan, during the match. She told the Manchester Evening News: "I was beside myself and had a full meltdown. I had a panic attack and my eldest son was traumatised seeing him out cold and covered in blood.

"I'm still in shock. A woman who helped him during the incident said she saw him lifeless and thought he was dead. To be so far away was horrendous... not being with them both to comfort them."

Onur travelled back to Greater Manchester home on Sunday, before going to Manchester Royal Infirmary for further treatment.

He suffered a broken eye socket, a broken nose, a forehead fracture and cuts to his mouth and chin. He also needed surgery after breaking two toes.

Onur is now recovering at home. The avid City fan, who plays as a goalkeeper for Wigan Athletic FC under 16s, faces a spell out of action.

Rachel added: "He's alive and we're beyond grateful, but he's not in the best way. He's healing and resting now to get back for pre-season with Wigan.

"He's an avid City fan and he's still adamant about seeing his team and the FA Cup final. We're hoping he'll make a full recovery and it won't affect what he loves to do."

"The spectator was assessed on site and given medical attention by our experienced team, before being taken to hospital via the stadium’s emergency ambulance."
