Sorry, BeyHive and Swifties — Beyoncé and Taylor Swift aren't collaborating on “Renaissance: Act II”

EW can put the rumors to rest.

Taylor Swift once sang that "the rumors are terrible and cruel, but honey most of them are true."

But in the case of recent speculation that the Midnights singer is collaborating in some way with Beyoncé on her recently announced album Renaissance: Act II, the rumors are in fact not true. A source with knowledge of the situation tells EW that Swift is not featured on Bey's new record in any way.

Internet theorizing was kicked into overdrive Tuesday when Grammy-nominated producer Killah B, who produced and co-wrote Beyoncé's new track "Texas Hold 'Em," teased to TMZ that fans are "just gonna have to wait and see" if Swift appears on Act II. "Let's just say [Beyoncé is] on the approach of shocking the world," he said. "I'll let your imagination decide what that means."

The Renaissance singer unveiled the title, release date, and first two tracks from the new record, which appears to be country-tinged, following a Super Bowl ad she starred in Sunday. Swift, of course, started her career in country music, so a crossover between the two wouldn't have been completely out of left field.

Although the two music titans aren't working together on Act II, Beyoncé and Swift have openly supported each other throughout their careers, especially recently. In October, Beyoncé showed up in support of Swift at her Eras Tour concert film premiere, with the two posing together for photos and a short video.

"I'm so glad I'll never know what my life would've been like without @beyonce's influence," Swift wrote on Instagram after the event. "The way she's taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She's been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairy tale."

Swift soon returned the favor by attending Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert film premiere in London, where the two posed together again. Swift, who recently announced her own upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, also told Time magazine she was disappointed that her Eras Tour and Bey's Renaissance World Tour were often compared to one another.

"There were so many stadium tours this summer, but the only ones that were compared were me and Beyoncé," Swift said. "Clearly it's very lucrative for the media and stan culture to pit two women against each other, even when those two artists in question refuse to participate in that discussion."

She added of Bey, "She's the most precious gem of a person — warm and open and funny. And she's such a great disrupter of music-industry norms. She taught every artist how to flip the table and challenge archaic business practices."

Renaissance: Act II is slated to arrive March 29, while The Tortured Poets Department will be released April 19.
