Soyuz Spacecraft Reaches International Space Station in Record Time

Expedition 64 astronauts aboard a Soyuz spacecraft docked at the International Space Station on October 14 after a record two-orbit, three-hour flight, NASA said.

NASA astronaut Kate Rubins and Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on October 14.

They arrived in record time thanks to the first use by a crew of a two-orbit approach to the space station, cutting travel time by half. Credit: NASA/@Space_Station via Storyful
