Yahoo News Squid Game: The Challenge tops Netflix UK streaming ratings
Squid Game: The Challenge dropped its first batch of episodes on Netflix a week ago, and it's been doing pretty well indeed.
According to BARB ratings, the first episode of the competition show/reality TV spin-off for Netflix's dystopian Korean drama has been streamed by around 2 million people in its first five days in the UK.
According to Deadline, BARB noted that the Uncharted movie with Tom Holland is in second place with over 1.7 million viewers, and the second episode of Squid Game: The Challenge is in third with just under 1.6 million viewers.

If you go by viewing hours, Uncharted comes out on top with almost 199 million viewer minute versus Squid Game: The Challenge episode one's 113 million viewer minutes, which makes sense since it's twice as long.
As far as Netflix TV shows are concerned, Squid Game: The Challenge has bumped The Crown's sixth series down into second place. Netflix's own Robbie Williams documentary is in fourth place, while third place goes to Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip series 3, which is an ITV show that first aired a few years ago.
The second batch of episodes of The Challenge dropped today (November 29), so it'll be interesting to see if it stays on top for another week. The finale streams next week, on December 6.

The series hasn't been without controversy, however. There were reports of the contestants passing out from the cold during a shoot for the first challenge — the famous 'red light, green light' — that massively overran.
Contestants have now threatened to take legal action against the streaming giant over the production.
Squid Game: The Challenge airs on Netflix.
