Stacey Dooley forced to rush off BBC's The One Show early live on air

Co-hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp were at the helm of The One Show on Thursday, sharing the screen space with special attendees including documentarian Stacey Dooley and actress Celia Imrie.

Dooley, 37, a previous Strictly Come Dancing champ, spoke up about portraying Jenny in the sequel of "2:22 A Ghost Story," her first West End appearance.

Roman probed into Stacey's on-stage persona, a woman going through an "the edge of an existential crisis" as described by her.

"She's just had a baby," she clarified. "The baby is still on the boob. She's knackered. It's all going on."

Giving more insights, Stacey said: "I thought you know what? If I can try anything, I can try this..." Her remarks come in after becoming a mother to a baby girl, Minnie her first child with Kevin Clifton, her other half, last year, reports the Mirror.

Seconds later, Roman interjected reminding the Strictly star that she has to leave for her evening performance quite soon.

Speaking quickly, he mentioned: "In fact, we can't keep you long. I'm being told now, you're on stage in about 40 minutes... and your bike. You've got a motorbike taking you there."

Responding with a chuckle, Stacey said: "How showbiz is this Roman? ".

"We need to get this on you," Roman indicated, pointing towards a biking helmet.

While Stacey hurried out of the set, Roman was heard cheering, "Go, go, go," whereas Alex expressed: "Break a leg."

Viewers weighed in on X, with @MaisyMooCow sharing: "Great sofa there on the #Theoneshow with Stacey Dooley and Celia. Stacey is so lovely the way she included Celia in her interview and not just addressing the presenters like most do. So grounded and down to earth."
