Yahoo News Stacey Solomon discusses ‘surprise’ pregnancy reveal ahead of imminent due date
Stacey Solomon shared that her pregnancy came as a “surprise” as she appeared on Lorraine on Thursday.
The 33-year-old shocked fans last month after she announced that she is expecting her third child with husband Joe Swash in a matter of weeks.
Solomon spoke to host Lorraine Kelly following the news as she discussed revealing her pregnancy at eight months.
“Nearly there now, very soon. It was a surprise but we’re so grateful that we get the chance to do it again,” Solomon said.
The expectant star added that she and husband Swash, 40, are “grateful they get the chance” to extend their family.
Solomon shares son Rex, three, and daughter Rose, one, with Swash and has two elder sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from previous relationships. Swash also has 15-year-old son Harry from a past relationship.
Solomon looked stunning on Lorraine as she wore a bright blue dress, which hugged her blossoming baby bump, and had her hair styled in waves for the occasion.
The Loose Women star spoke of needing “a crane to hold up” her bump as she shared a photo of her look on Instagram Stories prior to her interview.
Solomon wrote: “Up and out bright and early this morning to go & see @lorraine to talk all things @sortyourlifeoutbbcone. Bump feels soo low now like I want to walk around with a crane holding it up.”
The presenter also discussed on the show how she balances family/work life and keeps her house tidy, after helping out families with theirs on her TV series Sort Your Life Out.
Solomon said: “I have really tidy corners. I cannot do everything at once. It’s impossible, unless you’ve got a week off. I do a cupboard at a time.
“My eldest [child] is happy to live in a pigsty. My middle is really regimented and can’t function if things are not in the right place. The littlest ones I have to sing the tidy-up song.”

She continued: “Not everyone wants to be fine and tidy; that’s how I function. People ask how I keep things organised – I couldn’t have them if I wasn’t organised.
“Joe is the opposite; he lives in a mess that he understands. He does try really hard, bless him. He’s the most incredible dad and husband.”
