Dilly Carter, who is best known for appearing in Stacey Solomon's show Sort Your Life Out, has issued a health update on social media in which she said she was left "traumatised" after having to go to the hospital.

In 2023, Dilly shared that she had been diagnosed with stage one cancer of the womb the previous year. She had to undergo a radical hysterectomy but the news only got worse as she was told her cancer had gone from stage one to stage three and had to have more surgery to remove lymph nodes as well as her womb.

She has since been keeping fans updated with her recovery and had to spend the recent bank holiday in hospital after stomach problems but was keen to tell fans they are "not alone" if they were too facing recovery from cancer.

Posting to her Instagram story, the professional organizer said: "So my bank holiday weekend in Brighton didn't quite turn out..... my stomach wasn't playing ball. I had to have it drained due to a blockage making me sick.

"I've actually been quite traumatised by the process so haven't been able to focus as I currently still have a tube up my nose and directly into my stomach draining excess fluids... it's been a while since I've been speechless. But this literally has taken my breath and speech away it was such an ordeal."

"Luckily I'm better since the procedure but wow. I hope that's the first and last time I ever have to have that." In a separate post, Dilly told her followers they were "not alone" and she knows how "exhausting" recovery is.

She said: "Just a shout out to all those with ongoing health issues post cancer, post any major illness. I see you, I feel you, I know how exhausting and draining it is. You are not alone... I feel much better than I look. Once this tube is out today I'll be home and back to normal."

It comes after, on World Cancer Day, which is February 4 in the UK, Dilly, who shares daughter Nelly with husband Charley, posted an update featuring a photo of herself in hospital, revealing just how much her cancer diagnosis had changed her life.

"Cancer changed my life forever. It changes a whole family’s life forever. Not only did it take away my ability to have children again it has affected my daily life forever from the way I eat to the amount of time I can spend on my feet," she shared.

She continued: "The scars and the daily side effects are just the physical reminders. The mental effects are with you forever. No matter how much you try to ignore it and carry on. You will carry that weight around forever. What it didn’t do however is take my life."
