'When will work start to repair Bournemouth Pier?'

LOOKING at photos of Bournemouth Pier online shows just how much work is needed to repair it and make it safe.

Bournemouth was offered £18 million to update the beach area and other projects in Bournemouth and Poole but the pier seems bottom of the list yet again.

I would have thought being a coastal tourist town one of the projects that should be a priority is the pier so as to accept boats for trips for the visitors.

Years gone by it was a very busy business and brought money into the coffers of the Bournemouth Council from boat owners.

Any chance to see this work started anytime soon?

We even have to travel to Poole to pick up the wonderful Waverley now.

Lets hope the pier receives the work as soon as is possible along with the long awaited lift at Pokesdown Station.
