Stay-at-Home Advisory Issued by United Arab Emirates as Flooding Hits Dubai

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates issued a stay-at-home advisory on Tuesday, April 16, as flooding hit Dubai and other parts of the country.

The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) stressed “the necessity of staying at home and following safety instructions during the weather conditions” in a post on X on Tuesday.

According to news reports, government employees were told to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday and school lessons were moved online.
