Stella McCartney 'so proud' to launch campaign starring Cara Delevingne

Stella McCartney is "so proud" to launch her latest campaign starring Cara Delevingne.

The British model/actress stars in Stella's Summer 2024 campaign, which was shot at the Veolia recycling plant in South London.

The facility deals with waste management and energy services with the aim of collecting waste to depollute, decarbonise and regenerate it back.

The Stella's brand, known for its commitment to the environment, has revealed that the new collection is its most conscious to date, with 95% of the materials being sustainable.

"A BETTER WAY: I am so proud to launch my Summer 2024 collection with my friend @CaraDelevingne, who I am sending so much love and strength... Your Stella family is here for you... x," Stella wrote on Instagram, referencing the recent news that the model's California home had burned down.

"Summer 2024 is my most sustainable collection ever, made with 95% conscious materials," Stella continued. "Each year, 92 million tonnes of clothing waste is created, with a truck-full going to landfill or incinerators every second - over 90% of which can be reused or recycled, but less than 1% is."

The campaign features Cara posing naked in front of a wall of recycled cans, while covering herself with Stella McCartney's Falabella bag.

"Our iconic #Falabella bag's #vegan body is made using recycled materials, lined with ocean plastics and its chain is made from recycled brass and recyclable aluminium," Stella added in the post.

The designer went on to explain that she decided to shoot the campaign at the recycling plant because she wanted to "show the beauty that can be found in waste" and share "our hopes for a more circular future".
