Sylvester Stallone has reassured fans he is “alive and well” after he fell victim to a death hoax.

Fans of the Rocky star, 71, were left panicking on Monday morning after reports that he had died from prostate cancer started circulating online.

Pictures were posted of the actor with a balding head in which he appeared to look unwell.

But Stallone blasted the “stupidity” as he broke his social media silence by re-posting the images on Instagram.

Please ignore this stupidity… Alive and well and happy and healthy… Still punching!

He captioned the post: “Please ignore this stupidity… Alive and well and happy and healthy… Still punching!”

His comment came hours after his brother Frank Stallone slammed the “sick” and “demented” people behind the hoax.

“Rumors that my brother is dead are false,” he tweeted. “What kind of sick demented cruel mind thinks of things like this to post?

“People like this are mentally deranged and don’t deserve a place in society.”

Sylvester fell victim to a death hoax in September 2016 when a message was circulated on Facebook claiming the actor had been found dead at his Los Angeles home.

But fans were quick to trace the posts back to a website known for creating death hoaxes.

Other stars forced to shut down reports that they have died include Nicholas Cage, Vin Diesel and Jaden Smith.
