A new diner serving up a 'mash-up' of Scottish and Aussie breakfasts, as well as other menu items, has opened in Stokes Croft.

Hotplate Diner, which is located at Number 104, inside the Grade II-listed Carriageworks building, is the new opening from the team behind Left Handed Giant, who also boast a brewpub, the St Philips Taproom, Small Bar, Renatos (Italian and American-style bar and pizzeria restaurant), and neighbourhood bar, The Old Bookshop.

Hotplate Diner will be serving up breakfast, brunch, burgers, coffee, tea, milkshakes, cocktails and beer. And one unique factor is that it takes inspiration from the 'breakfast scene' of two very different countries - co-founders Bruce Gray and Jack Granger's roots, Scottish and Australian respectively.

It's currently open 9am-3pm as it 'eases' into its first week. The area's 'new favourite breakfast locale' as the team are dubbing it, had its soft opening for friends and family on June 19.

Please pop on by to say hello and enjoy a tasty BS1 Triple Co Roast coffee made by our amazing baristas."
