INDEPENDENT Stourbridge opticians, P W Optics, has been named Independent Opticians of the Year for a second year running.

The business, based in Market Street, was presented with the accolade at the Central England Prestige Awards held on May 28 at Moor Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield.

Owner and dispensing optician, Alexandra Penniston, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been successful again in the Prestige Awards! It is an amazing feeling to have our dedication to patients recognised in this way!

“I established P W Optics over six years ago because I felt there was more I could offer my patients. Since we opened we’ve worked hard to create a friendly and relaxed environment where patients can discuss their needs at their own pace.

“My biggest aim is to make my patients happy and I think we achieve this by delivering a high quality, personal service to everyone that we see.”

The Central England Prestige Awards celebrate small and medium-sized enterprises consisting of localised businesses and sole traders that have thrived in their highly competitive community and proven their success.

Andrew White, awards judge, said: “All winners in the Central England Prestige awards guide have shown an exemplary commitment towards their business, overcoming local and global challenges to succeed in our awards. We wish them a huge congratulations and look forward to celebrating their win throughout 2024”.

As well as winning at the Central England Prestige Awards last year, P W Optics was also named Best Family-Run Eyecare Practice for Stourbridge in the SME Enterprise awards last July.
