Straight Mile tragedy as young motorbiker dies after crash with car

A young motorbiker has died following a crash with a car in Warwickshire. The woman has not been identified but was aged 26.

She was riding a motorbike that came into collision with a car on the B4453 Straight Mile near the junction with Frankton village at 4pm yesterday afternoon (June 30). Warwickshire Police immediately closed off the stretch of road near Bourton on Dunsmore yesterday (Sunday 30 June).

Sadly a force spokesperson said that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers," the spokesperson said.

Investigations are ongoing and PC Pearson from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit of Warwickshire Police say they are looking into the circumstances around the collision. "He is appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage from the area to contact him," the force spokesperson added.
