Alongside playing Chief Hopper on Stranger Things, actor David Harbour is perhaps best-known for being generally amazing on the internet.

Case in point: his challenge to officiate two fans' wedding if he got over a certain amount of retweets.

In case you're unaware, back in January the actor replied to a fan dare asking how many retweets they'd need to get for Harbour to oversee their nuptials, responding: "125k retweets."

There were some caveats though, as he added: "Provided date works with s3 shooting schedule, I will get ordained and perform ceremony. I get to read an esteemed love letter of my choosing, and after the cake is officially cut, I get the very first piece."

Well, dear reader, we are here to inform you that after gaining well over 130K retweets, Harbour has made good on his word. And there's even photo evidence.

The actor posted a picture of himself officiating the wedding (in full Hopper gear, may we add), writing: "Hey internet. I know it's been awhile. I retreated. Needed some space. You probably get it.

"But I've been thinking about ya in the interim. And all your retweets. And so me and some fun folks in Springfield, Illinois made good on our promise we made all those months ago."

Harbour is in the midst of making season three of the Netflix show, and recently admitted that the new series will be taking a lot of risks.

"The scripts are really great this year," he teased. "And in the new directions that we're going, all of us are taking a lot of risks. We're all a little bit out of our comfort zone."

He also hinted at a lighter tone in parts, continuing: "Just taking my story, for example, it's fun to see Hopper having adopted Eleven. She's become legitimised in the society, in the world of Hawkins. And he's a father now.

"He's raising a teenage daughter, with all that that entails. So I think that can be pretty funny to see his inadequacies in all of this."

As long as we get more dancing Hopper, we'll be happy.

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix, with season three expected to land in 2019.
