The first official pictures of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing celebrities and their partners have been released.

The 2017 line-up features the likes of X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, The Saturdays’ Mollie King and EastEnders' Davood Ghadami.

In the pictures the celebrities can be seen debuting some dance moves with their partners in full costume.

Debbie McGee showed off her kicks with partner Giovanni Pernice, the Reverend Richard Coles flaunted his skills with new professional Dianne Buswell, and Susan Calman was snapped in hold with her coach Kevin Clifton.

During the Strictly launch show the comedian was overwhelmed by the news that she’d be partnered with Clifton.

Calman burst into tears telling host Tess Daly: “I’ve dreamt about being on the show for years, and I’ve always dreamt about dancing with Kevin. I’m so sorry but I feel like I’ve won the Lottery!”

But the contestants don’t have to fear being booted off the series just yet as they won’t face the public vote for another week.

Their scores on Saturday night will be carried over to next week when one pair will face the chop.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, September 23 at 6.25pm on BBC One.
