Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones has admitted that she “had a feeling” she would be in the dance-off with Seann Walsh last weekend.

The couple, who have recently hit the headlines after being pictured kissing, found themselves in the bottom two after their Quickstep to Jake Bugg’s Lightning Bolt failed to win them enough support.

But fans were left shocked when they were saved over Vick Hope and Graziano Di Prima who had tackled the Cha Cha Cha .

And now, Jones has admitted that she feared elimination on Sunday night even though the live show was the best performance of that routine they had managed.

Speaking on It Takes Two, Jones said: “I didn't tell you that but I did have a feeling.

“Only because everyone did amazing. Everyone was so good! The level is just so, so high. So, at one point, I was looking around and I just thought ‘oh it could be us!’

Walsh quipped: “I knew you felt it because you went ‘let’s just quickly go through the dance!’”

Strictly fans were left stunned as the judges voted to save Walsh and Jones, who will dance a Viennese Waltz this weekend , by three votes to one.

Hope claimed that producers were “called in and had a conflab” before the final decision was given by head judge Shirley Ballas .

But the BBC hit back at any suggestion of wrongdoing, saying that the process was the same as any other weekend.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday October 27 at 6.50pm on BBC One with a Halloween special.
