Strictly Come Dancing Craig Revel Horwood told actor Greg Wise he looked like he was recovering from hip surgery following his "clumsy" Samba.

The 55-year-old Sense and Sensibility star - husband of Hollywood star Emma Thompson - danced to the Macarena with partner Karen Hauer, wearing a frilly shirt and shaking a seashell - but received a sting of criticism from the judges.

Revel Horwood told him: "It did look like you'd just come out of a double hip replacement operation. Very clumsy and technically quite bad."

Fellow judge Anton Du Beke told him: "It was like having a bath with your socks on - it was a bit uncomfortable."

Wise answered back to the judges, confessing: "Sorry - I got very nervous."

Host Tess Daly consoled him: "You've entertained us all."

Wise responded: "Good, that's why I'm here."

The actor has previously revealed he is taking part in the celebrity dance show in memory of hid late sister, Clare, who died from cancer in 2016.

Wise told Claudia Winkleman: "It was the first time on this show [I got nervous]. This is a dance I really enjoyed and I loved working on over the week but I got the fear."

He received a score of 19 from the judges.

Loose Women star Judi Love performed a Waltz with partner Graziano Di Prima to Mariah Carey's Hero - which she dedicated to the memory of her mum and dad, who have both passed away.

Love broke down in tears at the end of the dance and was comforted on the dancefloor by Di Prima.

Afterwards Love, 41, said: "It was very emotional I just wanted to share my experience of having heroes, we've all got them. I miss my parents dearly."

Revel Horwood told her: "It's my job and judge and score technique, butI'm not going to go through list of things that were wrong with it. I thought you danced with an innocence, I thought you danced with great intent."

Daly told Love: "I wanted to hug you. You moved us all with that routine."

Judge Shirley Ballas said: "Aljaz you can push someone really hard but if they don't respond it doesn't work. [Sara] You must be a phenomenal student."

Skorjanec said afterwards: "It took me nine years to get four 9s for a Tango. Get in!"

The professional dancer previously won the show with Abbey Clancy in 2013.
