Yahoo News Strictly pro Brendan Cole slams Bruno Tonioli's saucy bedroom comments
Strictly pro Brendan Cole has lashed out at judge Bruno Tonioli for ‘lowering the tone’ of Strictly Come Dancing with his saucy bedroom comments over the weekend.
The 41-year-old, who is paired with Good Morning Britain newsreader Charlotte Hawkins , was angered by the judge’s suggestive remarks on what he says is a ‘family show’.
Bruno raised eyebrows after he commented that Eastenders star Davood Ghadami and his partner Nadiya Bychkova looked as though they were ready to ‘race to the bedroom’ following their steamy Samba dance.
‘I didn’t approve of Bruno’s comment to Davood and Nadiya the other week,’ he said in his Best magazine column.
‘If it was said about two single people, like Mollie and AJ, then maybe it would have been OK – but both Davood and Nadiya have partners and children.’
He added: ‘Strictly’s also a family show – imagine your kid asking you what ‘race to the bedroom’ means?’
Davood and Nadiya danced a dramatic Samba to Stayin’ Alive from Saturday Night Fever over the weekend as part of Strictly’s Movie Week.

Speaking following their dance, Bruno exclaimed: ‘Jheez! That was like a race to the bedroom!’.
Brendan’s criticism of Bruno comes shortly after he jumped to the defence of his partner Charlotte and said she is doing well considering she is ‘not one of the people from X Factor’.
Saturday night saw tension arise between Brendan and head judge Shirley Ballas after she accused them of having a rise and fall in their Top Gun-themed tango.
Speaking on Monday, Brendan said: ‘I’ve watched the tape back, I’ve seen it – there is no rise and fall in it.
‘You could argue with anybody, you could say Aston (Merrygold) didn’t do a proper cha cha, but he did an amazing cha cha.’
Cole added: ‘What Charlotte did on Saturday was a phenomenal dance compared to what we’d done before and given the fact she’s not one of the people from X Factor.’
This year’s Strictly of course has two former X Factor contestants – ex-JLS member Merrygold, and 2008 champion Alexandra Burke.
