A house almost completely destroyed by a devastating fire three years ago has undergone a stunning rebuild - and is now on the market for £650,000.

The house in Bedminster was left a complete shell with no roof or floors and only the front and back walls remaining following the fire which tore through the property in July 2021.

The man who lived in the house at the time managed to escape unscathed, and was supported by neighbours.

The house in Pearl Street, in the Chessels area of Bedminster, was left as a burnt-out shell for two years before local building firm JH Group got to work. The firm had to effectively rebuild the house from the inside out, constructing new floors, walls and a roof.

Now, the property’s transformation is complete, and it is on the market with estate agents Hollis Morgan with an asking price of £650,000.

The ‘new’ home features a front room, ‘snug’ and kitchen downstairs, with a decked back yard at the rear. Upstairs, there is a bathroom and two bedrooms - one with an en-suite - and the loft area has been used too, with a master bedroom and en-suite too.

A spokesperson for Hollis Morgan described it as ‘the perfect blend of historic elegance and contemporary comfort’, adding that the ‘Victorian gem’ has been ‘meticulously renovated’. To see more of the property's transformation, click here.
