Teddy Mitchell's debut on EastEnders leaves fans divided as they say 'I can't watch this'

Teddy, a new character in EastEnders, has already started causing a stir among the Mitchells, much to the annoyance of viewers who have noticed his 'irritating habit'.

Accompanied by his sons Harry and Barney, Teddy embarked on a mission to find his 'lost' father. After his dad had a fall, the hospital contacted Ted as the next of kin, leading him straight to Walford General.

Upon reaching the hospital, Teddy interrupted a conversation between Will Mitchell and Stevie. Pretending not to know Will, Stevie piqued Ted's curiosity, prompting him to head directly to Albert Square.

He instructed Harry and Barney to familiarise themselves with the neighbourhood. While they were busy mingling with the locals, Teddy kept an eye on Billy and Will before confronting the teenager in the Square's gardens.

Recognising that Will cared for Stevie, Teddy took him to The Vic to probe him about the Mitchell family, reports the Daily Star.

Soon after, Billy and Honey received a call from Elaine Peacock alerting them that their son was at the pub with a stranger. Within moments, Phil Mitchell was losing his cool, demanding to know Teddy's identity.

This led Stevie to make a surprising revelation - Teddy is Billy's brother, leaving the rest of the family in a state of confusion.

EastEnders fans have been left less than impressed with newcomer Teddy's fashion choice, as he sports a smart shirt with a jumper nonchalantly draped over his shoulders.

Flocking to X, (formerly known as Twitter), one viewer exclaimed: "As much as I didn't want more thuggish Mitchell's running around the square, I quite like teddy (for now), but that jumper scarf thing has got to go #EastEnders."

Another viewer was quick to demand: "Im going to need the EastEnders costume department to delete Teddy's jumper drapped around his shoulders ASAP. I can't watch this unnatural fashion item placed around his neck for the next year."

Joining the critique, a third added: "It's been 30 seconds and I need the newbie to remove his jumper from around his shoulders. #EastEnders."

One fan pondered humorously: "I wonder if sweater weather is like Junior with his suit and keeps his sweater on his shoulders while bathing and having sex".

And another chimed in with their observation: "This new cricketer helps himself into someone's house and honeys expression so casual What's with that pink sweater in 30 degrees heat ? Just come off the cricket pitch? ".
