Teenage girl 'followed by car' in Bromsgrove as police issue appeal to trace her

A teenage girl was reportedly followed by a car and police are seeking to identify her. It follows an incident in Bromsgrove.

West Mercia Police said a member of the public contacted them over concerns a girl was followed by a car on Shrubbery Road on Friday evening. The vehicle stopped alongside her before she ran off along Highfields Road.

Police want to check on the welfare on the girl. Inquiries are ongoing.

Police said in a statement: "Officers in Bromsgrove are keen to speak to a teenage girl after concerns were raised Around 7.30pm a member of the public contacted police with concerns after a vehicle appeared to follow a girl before stopping alongside her before she ran off along Highfields Road.

"Officers are keen to speak to the girl to check she is ok and ensure those in the vehicle had not caused her distress or attempted to commit a criminal offence."
