Teenager chased into garden by police as drugs and cash found

A teenager was chased into a garden by police and later found with drugs and cash on him.

On Wednesday, June 12 officers spotted a silver Volkswagen on Arrowe Park Road in Upton. They then saw the teenager get out of the car and run away towards Arrowe Brook Road.

Officers chased the boy on foot and he was caught in the garden of a property on Mavis Drive. He was found to have a large amount of cannabis and more than £1,000 in his possession, police said.

A further search was carried out at an address where a large amount of cannabis and drugs paraphernalia were seized. A 17-year-oldfrom Egremont was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled class B drug, cannabis, possession of criminal property and criminal damage to property under £5,000. He is still in police custody to be questioned.
