TfL Tube delays: travel chaos as Jubilee line part-suspended after 'fire alert' at Bond Street station

Commuters travelling into central London are facing travel chaos this morning after a fire alert at Bond Street station left the Jubilee line part suspended.

There are severe delays on the rest of the line over the track fault.

And there are severe delays on the DLR between Bank and Poplar/Canary Wharf due to crowding cause by the disruption.

Transport for London has urged passengers to avoid the Jubilee line while emergency services work at the scene.

A spokesman for the line tweeted that there had been "reports of smoke" at Bond Street at around 6am.

Authorities were also called to Baker Street station.

Pictures shared on social media show huge crowds gathered at Shadwell station as Londoners sought alternative routes into the capital.

One commuter tweeted: "Jubilee Line is dead, so I’m taking a very circuitous route in to Oxford Circus, via Shadwell. Sadly, everyone else had the same idea..."

London Bridge station was exit only for around 30 minutes during the morning rush hour.
