Thameslink and Gatwick Express face heavy disruption after woman hit by train
Train services into London have faced heavy disruption after a woman was hit by a train.
Three Bridges station was evacuated shortly after 9am on Monday after officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
The Gatwick Express and Thameslink lines both faced cancellations and delays as emergency services attended the scene.
Just after 12pm, Thameslink tweeted all lines between Horsham/Haywards Heath and Gatwick Airport had reopened.

But, they warned trains running between these stations would be heavily delayed, cancelled or revised until 4pm.
Gatwick Express said they were running a reduced service between Victoria and Brighton.

They added the line would also be experiencing delays and cancellations until 4pm.
In a statement, British Transport Police said: “Shortly after 9am this morning officers were called to Three Bridges station after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended however a person has sadly been pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are now working to identify her and inform her family. This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
