Get ready to rock your body tight as Nick Carter has revealed that the boyband are collaborating with Florida Georgia Line on music for the country duo’s upcoming album, Dig Your Roots, scheduled for release in August.

“In the studio with my @backstreetboys recording a song for @fla-galine new album,” Carter wrote in his photo caption, referring to the unexpected project.

“In the lab doing something we’ve never done before…BSB feature with FGL,” echoed Brian Littrell in his own social media post.

Beyond their country crossover, the Backstreet Boys – who famously featured on bedroom walls everywhere in the ‘90s – are working on a brand new studio album of their own.

“Also working on the new backstreet album as well,” Carter tipped. “Get ready!!!”

It has been three long years since the famous fivesome reunited for their comeback record, In a World Like This.

Over the next few years, the group embarked on a tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary and promote their eighth studio album.

More recently, BSB have made some strategic appearances in the media, including performances on TV shows, singing at the Miss USA 2016 pageant, and announcing a Las Vegas residency.

At one time, rumours circulated that Backstreet Boys could join up with the Spice Girls for a nostalgia-fuelled tour – but the Wannabe girl group’s reunion hasn’t been smooth, with Mel B now shifting their tour back to 2017.
