The Traitors series one star Wilfred "Wilf" Webster has praised Paul Gorton for being the "most entertaining" villain to watch on the show so far in spin-off chat show The Traitors: Uncloaked.

Wilf impressed viewers in the first series when he ruthlessly got rid of his fellow traitors and made the final, only to be exposed by fellow traitor Kieron. This series, Paul has proved to be even more cut-throat in getting rid of his fellow traitors.

Viewers rejoiced when Paul was banished from the roundtable on Thursday, with one writing on social media platform X: "PAUL IS GONE! FINALLY! The Traitors." Addressing the exit later on the spin-off show, Wilf celebrated Paul as the "most entertaining traitor" to watch this series.

Keen to share his thoughts on the upcoming guest, Wilf was quick to speak up. "Can I just say about Paul?" Once he had everyone's attention on the sofa, the TV personality explained why he thought Paul was one of the most entertaining villains to watch.

He said: "A lot of people didn't like him. I loved him. I feel like he is the only person in the game - apart from Amanda - that I've seen so far that could take away the emotion and play the game. He took it away, brought just the game play and I rate that. He was the most entertaining traitor to watch so far. In my opinion."

Elsewhere on the show, Ed Gamble also praised Paul for his performance on The Traitors. He said: "What we all loved about you Paul is clearly how much you relished being a traitor, you were there for the game, you treated it as a game and I mean, you said murdering people is like eating delicious dark chocolate."

Paul admitted he was playing a character and that he had been heavily inspired by Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. He said: "I was trying to get into character like that whole time when I was there, I was reading American Psycho, I was trying to picture Patrick Bateman."

Many viewers celebrated as Paul was banished from the roundtable after fellow traitor Harry turned on him. "Paul’s gone woooooooooooo," one viewer wrote, among the many comments posted on social media platform X. Sharing their thoughts, people posted on social media: "I’ll sleep well tonight now Paul’s gone! Harry for the win," "amazing TV Paul is gone! well done Faithful," and "my happy dance now Paul has gone."

"WE WON PAUL IS GONE," another wrote. "DIANE GOT HER JUSTICE! EVIL PAUL IS GONE." More added: "OMG!!!!! Paul has finally gone Harry took those seeds Paul planted and dug them back up again!!!! Harry's CAUGHT 3 OF HIS OWN TRAITORS & COUNTING!!!"

What else happened on The Traitors: Uncloaked?

Despite turning on every traitor, Paul insisted he would never have betrayed Harry. "With Harry I would never have turned my back on him," he said. "My plan was for me and Harry to win it... not one part of me was going to double-cross Harry." However, the banished traitor said he had "absolutely no regrets" following the show.

Paul said faithful Charlotte was "more of a traitor than the traitors" as she remembered what happened in the car wrong. Mistakenly Charlotte told Harry that Paul had been accusing him of being a traitor, which wasn't actually true. She was a close friend and an ally of Paul but she betrayed him after having a gut feeling that he was a traitor since the dungeon scenes. The traitor admitted the dungeon was a mistake and led to his banishment. He said: "I was way too cocky… You can see me almost trying to convince myself afterwards in the turret I put my hood down ‘well that went perfectly’… It couldn’t have gone worse."
