The X Factor 2016: Nicole Scherzinger denies claims that the jukebox is rigged

The X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger has hit out at claims that the show’s ‘jukebox’ is rigged - despite the fact it conveniently selected the theme 'Fright Night’ for Halloween weekend.

We mean, that’s one heck of a coincidence…

Speaking to The Sun, Nicole - who mentors the boys - claimed: “I genuinely think that it’s not fixed because I know every week I can’t pick my songs until we know what [theme] we’re doing - and the producers aren’t picking anything as well.

"I think it’s perfect. I think it’s meant to be. It’s fricking Fright Night.

"No one wants Fright Night around Christmas time or Thanksgiving.”

Exactly, Nic, which is what makes the whole thing so suspicious…

The former Pussycat Doll is so adamant that the jukebox isn’t fixed that she even claimed that head judge, Simon Cowell, expected backlash from viewers when 'Fright Night’ was selected.

She added: “When it did land on Fright Night, Simon said 'Oh we are going to get reamed because everyone’s going to think it’s fixed now.’”

Fix or no fix, we’re definitely excited to see what spooky song selections we are (trick-or-)treated to on Saturday.
