This man’s surname ‘Forrest’ got him pranked with endless deliveries of Astro Turf samples

How many uses can you find for little squares of Astro Turf?

Not a question most of us will ever ponder - unless, like Alex Forrest, we fall victim to a prank that involves bundles of samples of artificial grassdelivered to our home.

Alex, from Stockport, managed to find a few uses for the numerous squares of fake grass, from coffee mats to using them to line his window-sill and provide a nice backdrop for his cacti.

But he eventually admitted defeat, taking to Twitter to earlier this week to say: “Right has someone put me down to get samples of astroturf?

“This is the second delivery in 2 days & I’m running out of things to do with them.”

His tweet proved popular with the Twitterati, prompting hundreds of likes and retweets.

It seemed to prompt a confession from his pal Matt, who tweeted: “sorry mate” in response to the tweet.

But while Alex’s turf takeover wasn’t something he’d signed up for, it seems there are some people out there who love a bit of fake grass in their lives.

‘DeadlyNightshade’, or @231Tally, sent him some pictures of her own astro-adorned room, saying: “I LOVE FAKE GRASS”.
