Thousands Walk Mackinac Bridge as Annual Labor Day Tradition Resumes

Crowds walked the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan on Monday, September 6, as the annual Labor Day tradition resumed. The walk, which dates back to 1958, was cancelled in 2020 due to health and safety concerns stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer led around 21,000 people over the “Might Mac” suspension bridge for the 63rd annual walk, local media reported.
