Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 20-year-old who was shot in west London.

Sebastiaan James-Kraan was found in Templeman Road, Ealing, with a life-threatening gunshot around 2.10am on June 9.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene and he was taken to hospital, where he died three days later, on Wednesday, June 12.

Three people have now been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Mr James-Kraan, who has been remembered by his family as “a gentle giant with a heart of pure gold”.

Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of murder in Bristol on Friday morning, said Scotland Yard. They were transported to London, where they remained in police custody on Saturday.

A man in his 40s was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released on bail.

On Saturday, another man in his 20s was also arrested in the Wembley area on suspicion of murder. He also remained in police custody.

Police said Mr James-Kraan’s family had been updated on the development, and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said: "My thoughts continue to be with Sebastiaan’s family and friends at this unimaginably difficult time.

“Our investigation is progressing at pace and we have made a number of arrests. I am still keen to anyone who may have information about what happened to Sebastiaan so we can bring those responsible to justice.”

Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson, in charge of policing in the Ealing area, added: "I know that a death caused by gun crime will cause considerable concern in the local community. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim and my officers are doing everything to support the murder investigation.”

Mr James-Kraan’s family said in a statement: "Sebastiaan James-Kraan was cruelly taken away from his family at such a young age.

"He was a kind, loving, gentle man with a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. A gentle giant with a heart of pure gold.

"Please now respect our privacy to allow us to cope with our grief."

A post-mortem examination carried out on Friday determined Mr James-Kraan’s cause of death was gunshot wounds.
