Hundreds of Three UK customers are still without service as the network has suggested “restarting your phone” to fix the issue.

Thousands of customers were hit by a meltdown on Thursday and were unable to use voice, text or data on their phones.

DownDetector, a website that tracks outages, showed around 250 across the UK people were still reporting issues on Friday morning.

But, Three UK said the technical problems had been resolved and there should now be an easy fix.

It tweeted: “Good morning, if you’re still having issues connecting to our network this morning, please do try and restart your phone or turn your airplane mode on and off again. this will help to reconnect you.”

Angry customers took to twitter to vent their frustration after turning their phone off and on again didn’t help.

One wrote: “Still nothing for me, this is ridiculous!! C’mon there must be a time scale that you think this will all be sorted? And no this whole “turn it on and off again” is no use!!

While another said: “Did all that yesterday still had problems on 3 devices done it again this morning still no data, calls and sms only, not a great service is it? @ThreeUK @ThreeUKSupport whats causing the outages? When is reliability going to be restored? @Ofcom”

One person said they had been without a connection said they were getting mixed signals: “90 mins without internet earlier even though my phone said full signal, nothing would load, so I couldn’t pay for my parking!!! Nothing but problems with @ThreeUK”
