Tipping Point and The Chase fans have lashed out at ITV for 'cancelling' the two hits shows this week, as both have disappeared from schedules to make way for sport,.

Staples of ITV's afternoon/early evening listings for years now, the programmes, fronted by Ben Shephard and Bradley Walsh respectively, typically occupy the 4 and 5pm slots on a week day, running one after the other; but there is absolutely no sign of them in TV guides this week, as instead, the broadcaster prioritises live sporting action.

Over the next few weeks, the schedules of both BBC1 and ITV1 are being dominated by Euro 2024, particularly this week and into next with all the group games to get through. And, while BBC have shifted a lot of their popular programmes, like The One Show and EastEnders onto BBC2, ITV have taken shows off air completely.

As well as the Euros, Royal Ascot is also being shown on ITV this week, with the famous horse meet, forcing Loose Women to be cut short by half an hour and, on Wednesday, June 19, Ascot aired straight after the Euros tie between Croatia and Albania.

Not happy that their favourite shows have been scrapped, one annoyed viewer took to X to fume: "I’m missing “Tipping point” and “The Chase” more than I’m enjoying the Euros" with another, realising they'd be cancelled this week, writing: "It's the last week of both #TippingPoint and #TheChase before the schedules get f**ked over for Euro 2024"
