Tom Daley in hospital just days before wedding to Dustin Lance Black

Olympic diver Tom Daley has been taken to hospital just two days before he is due to marry his partner Dustin Lance Black.

The 22-year-old sports star shared a picture of himself sitting up in his hospital bed on Thursday evening sipping tea and eating what can only be described as a limp salad.

Poor Tom!

It appears he suffered an injury during training but he seemed to be in good spirits and captioned his picture: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Back on board soon! #AthleteLife”

The news comes after it was revealed that Tom and Dustin are due to walk down the aisle together in just 48 hours.

The couple seemed excited about the big day earlier this year, when Tom admitted the planning stages had “all been fun”.

“So I am in the middle of planning all that with Lance, but it’s all been fun. It’s a fun time and exciting time. So yeah, I am really looking forward to this year,” he said.

Tom and Dustin, 42, got engaged in October 2015 after meeting back in 2013.

Their relationship was hit with accusations at the end of last year that Tom had cheated on Dustin, however they refused to comment on the reports and the Hollywood film producer and Olympic medalist look happier than ever together.
