Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black share their first wedding photos

On Saturday afternoon, Olympic diver Tom Daley married his fiance, Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, in a fairytale wedding at Bovey Castle in Dartmoor national park.

The incredibly private couple shared their day with just 50 guests, made up of their close friends and family, and now they have taken to Instagram to share the first photos from their big day.

Posting a pic of himself and his new husband walking down the aisle to the applause of their guests, Tom couldn’t resist gushing about the day, writing: “On 6th May 2017, I married the love of my life, @dlanceblack.

“We shared the day with 120 of our closest friends and family, from Texarkana to Plymouth! Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the most special weekend of our lives!”

Tom went on to reveal that he and his groom were dressed in Burberry suits and the London Gay Men’s Chorus provided the music to their special day.

The 22-year-old star also seemingly rubbished claims that he had recreated scenes from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, adding the hashtag: “NoRomeo”.

Meanwhile, Dustin shared a romantic photo of himself and Tom gazing into eachother’s eyes on a picturesque bridge, simply captioning the pic with: “So… What did you do this weekend?”

Last week, Tom worried fans when he posted a photo of himself laying in a hospital bed, sparking concern that the wedding may not go ahead.

He captioned the snap with: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! #AthleteLife Back on the board soon.” and luckily was in good enough health to say ‘I do’ as planned.

Speaking about his and Dustin’s wedding back in January, Tom shared: “I am in the middle of planning all that with Lance, but it’s all been fun. It’s a fun time and exciting time.

“I am really looking forward to this year.”

Gushing about his fiance, Tom continued: “We just complement each other, and I think we really understand each other. He’s very good at what he does and he understands the hard work I have to put into what I do, so it works.

“He even gave up alcohol with me for two years before the Olympics. He’s a keeper.”

Tom and Dustin first hooked up back in 2013, just a few months after Tom opened up about his sexuality in a YouTube video.

The pair got engaged in October 2015.
