Molly-Mae Hague couldn't help but see the funny side after Tommy Fury addressed his second-ever appearance for Soccer Aid. The boxer was among the famous faces who took to the pitch over the weekend for the huge charity football match in aide of UNICEF.

This year's match took place at the home of Chelsea FC, Stamford Bridge, with England once again taking on the World XI with both teams full of former professional footballers, singers, presenters, actors and more.

England, with stars including Danny Dyer, Sam Thompson, Tom Hiddleston and Bobby Brazier, emerged victorious at the end of the 90 minutes having not won in six editions of the fundraiser before this year, with former Chelsea star Frank Lampard making his mangerial debut for the side with his uncle Harry Redknapp, actress Vicky McClure and singer and Soccer Aid co-founder Robbie Williams

They won 6-3, thanks to two goals from Dragons' Den star Steven Bartlett and Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott’s second-half appearances but most importantly, more than £15 million was raised on the night, taking the overall amount raised by Soccer Aid since its inception in 2006 to £105m.

But Tommy has seemingly admitted to not being a natural on the pitch after fiancee Molly-Mae publicly branded him 'iconic' after one of his moves was spotted during the 2024 match which was broadcast live on ITV.

Tommy made his Soccer Aid debut in 2023 and plays for the World XI instead of England, because he is of Mauritian descent on his mother Chantal's side, and his father John Fury is of Irish Traveller descent

Following her man's loss, Molly-Mae was left joining in the reaction to Tommy's move during the match after TNT Sports shared a side-by-side screenshot of the sports star in action as he appeared to perform a throw-in. However, he quickly switches from an overarm to an underarm throw, much to some amusement.

The caption of the post read: "Tommy Fury taking an underarm throw-in might be the highlight of this year's Soccer Aid," with a laughing emoji. But Molly-Mae reshared the post in view of her own millions of followers and said: "Iconic x."

And Tommy, 25, was clearly in touch with the reaction as sharing a string of snaps from the game with his millions of followers on Instagram, he captioned the post: "Just here to make the people laugh. Thank you @socceraid for having me play a second year for such an incredible cause."

Quick to respond, Molly-Mae, also 25, confirmed: "Oh we laughed," adding a crying laughing emoji and a red love heart in a bid to soften the blow. Others, however, were again left defending the former Love Island star.

@princess_stonebrooks said: "Some of the comments on here are appalling. He done it for charity. He should be applauded not ridiculed. Why even comment if it’s not to say well done. Sad jealous people!!! Well done Tommy." @m_angilinho_23 echoed: "All for a good cause all in good spirit ffs he’s not trying to be a baller he’s taking part and having a laugh with it quite clearly doesn’t know how to tie own laces but who cares ffs. Well done Tommy." @joshy91k added: "Fair play, you're a good sport. All for charity and all good fun."
