Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Wednesday, May 1.

PSV chasing Driouech

Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are keen on signing winger Couhaib Driouech this summer, amid previous interest from Swansea City.

The Excelsior star was a top target for the Swans in January, with chairman Andy Coleman even flying out to the Netherlands for talks. However, a move never materialised with the player himself later revealing he turned down the chance to move to south Wales.

His decision came amid interest from both Feyenoord and PSV, and reports in the Dutch press claim the latter are now ready to revive their pursuit at the end of the season.

According to ED, Driouech, who only has one year left on his current deal, could be available for around €1.5m-€2m.

The same outlet claims there is also interest from Italy, while WalesOnline understands there's still some lingeing admiration for the player at Swansea too, despite his January snub.

Leonard tipped for Old Firm

Celtic and Rangers should both be targeting Brighton midfielder Marc Leonard.

That is the view of Northampton boss Jon Brady who had the midfielder on loan at Sixfields this season, where he's been a standout performer in League One.

He's since been linked with a host of different Championship clubs recently, including Swanse City, but Brady believes a move to the top of Scottish football might be a better fit for his star man.

Brady told Record Sport: “I feel for the here and now and for the longer term I would say Marc Leonard is one that both Rangers and Celtic should be looking at. I know both teams have a lot of talent in the midfield but Marc is an outstanding young Scottish player. I believe he can go all the way to the top and if Rangers or Celtic were to come in for him then I feel he has the talent to flourish for either side.”

Swans boss Luke Williams appeared to be unware of interest in the midfielder when quizzed recently, but Brady has confirmed there is plenty of interest from the second tie.r

“Certainly with the ability he has, for me, he has to be testing himself, at least in the Championship. He would be a huge asset to any team in that league.

“The improvement in him has been scary. He came as a very good technical player but now he has gone up so many levels.

“He has risen to every challenge we gave him and in the end, he was just grabbing games by the scruff of the neck and being a real difference maker. He came as a young player but has left Northampton as a man.”

Williams keen to attack final week of the season

Head coach Luke Williams insists he wants his Swansea City side to attack the final game of the 2023-24 campaign, as they bid to end their season on high.

The Swans are currently unbeaten in their last four games, having taken 10 points from 12, and will now round off this term with the visit of Millwall on Saturday (12.30pm).

“We have spoken about wanting to have the good run to take into the summer, to have that optimism ahead of next season,” Williams said.

“We have a chance to do that by finishing unbeaten, so we have to take this opportunity to make a really good performance.

“The fans will want to come and see us do that for them, they will want to come and see a good game and to see us continue to show the improvements we have been showing.

“We want to play at full tilt and try to entertain, and that is how we are going to be gearing up for this game and how we are going to prepare.

“That’s the message for the players and the fans, we are looking forward to that and we cannot wait.

“It’s nice to be able to finish off at home so we can see each other and say goodbye just for a few weeks. We are looking toward to it.”
